As a ReadyU Campus Ambassador, I grew to become a social media guru as I cultivated my intuitive creativity and strategic mindset. I managed an inventory and distributed samples of Old Spice, Olay, Tide, Bounce, Covergirl, Crest, Cheer, Pantene, and various other Proctor and Gamble products at my events. Improvising, interacting, and working under pressure threw curveballs at me asennd t me twisting and turning into a gymnastic-like routine where I would be constantly making haste to advertise sufficiently and organizing the elements that lead to efficiently spreading the word and creating buzz in my hosting and planning of events.
I’m energetically driven and motivated by my passion for writing and igniting awareness. I hope to get into health promotional initiatives and disparities in the future. As a double major in Psychology and English, I also have a Advertising minor. I’m versatile and multifaceted in my ambitions but desire to intertwine my knack for writing, initiating communication, child psychology, health promotional initiatives, and marketing into a wonderful medley.
Snapping pictures and video, capturing all this great exciting engagement was a fuel to my passionate fire to inform and raise awareness about these awesome brands. I cherished the opportunities, networking, and free creativity of my missions throughout the semester. I tried to ignite fun interaction with funny videos and pictures of students brandishing their body wash, mascara, detergent, shampoo, toothpaste, body poofs, and deodorants. I encourage students to like, comment, and share the ReadyU posts with their friends, helping to get the word out about this great platform that hopes to touch the lives of many.
I’m continuing it now because of my successful experience. I utilized public relations and guerilla marketing tactics to generate awareness about these resources. Being a passionate brand representative I am proud to recognize the growth of Mr Youth’s Repnation interactive ReadyU marketing platform is undergoing an exponential chain reaction of social media interaction with thousands of students engaging with it throughout the month. Getting students to be in the know about ways they can improve their hygiene, style, knowledge, and resources so as to build strong connections and self throughout their experience at college is a meaningful mission.
I generally host events at the various student centers around campus where free lunch is held as a large influx of people are facilitating during that time. Generally where a high volume of students will be frequenting, doing it during Homecoming last year was a success! The tools that ReadyU gives allowed me to think creatively, express marketing strategies, work on timeline scheduling in accordance to various missions, build my social media network skills, and hone my persuasion and communication assets.
ReadyU helps to improve the lives of college students by giving resources, information and products that can help them easier transition into college and experience it to their full potential. It helps them learn about challenges one may face through the ReadyU portal on the ReadyU Facebook page. It’s a vast network of people who want to inform others of what’s hot and ignite ongoing trends.
