Internships & Cooperative Education

My internship with ONEprop has skyrocketed my way to success as a future industry leader. At my internship I started my journey learning the finer points of the real estate field. ONEprop quickly recognized my full potential and started approaching me for advising on graphic design, presentation development, and computer related concepts. Soon after, I began working closely with the business development branch and C level executives of my company. I now do all my normal internship duties but I also get frequent special assignments from the top executives of my company.

                Through a colleague at my internship I got involved with a national organization called The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Shortly after joining as a student member, I made stellar networking connections, joined the IREM Young Professional Committee (IYP), and then was elected Vice Chairman of the IYP Board and Director of the IREM student outreach program. Throughout my endeavors with IREM I have met powerful people such as the Mayor of Fort Worth.

The Texas Apartment Association (TAA) is a UNT sponsor and publishes one of the most popular real estate magazines in Texas. Upon hearing about my success, TAA granted me a scholarship and then approached me with an offer to write about me in their 2012 spring magazine. The TAA publisher thought my responses to their questions were witty and decided to title the article “College to Career: The Swiss Army Intern”.

McKinney High School (the high school I graduated from) discovered my recent successes and invited me to come and lecture to their business classes. They were impressed with my motivational lecture style and even invited me to come back and lecture their college preparation class as well. It was an honor to share my experiences with young students that were in the same point in their lives as I was just a few years ago.

Just last year I was an average UNT student… Then I got my internship and became a Vice Chairman, a magazine featured success personality, and an intern that works closely with the C level executives of my company. Without a doubt, ONEprop is THE best internship ever and has expanded my horizons more than I could have dreamed possible.
